Kudos...

To Julie Chu of Fairfield, Conn. and Josephine Pucci of Pearl River, N.Y., who made the U.S. women’s Olympic hockey team bound for Sochi.  The team was announced New Year’s Day during the annual outdoors Winter Classic, this year held at Michigan State in Ann Arbor, where the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 in a taut, fascinating contest despite the snow (or maybe because of it). Congrats, all.

For a profile of Sue Merz, part of the U.S. team that won the first gold in women’s hockey, at Nagano in 1998, check out WAG’s January “Super Power” issue.
